Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC), a global giant of motorcycle manufacturing is headquartered in Japan. It holds major stake in its Indian subsidiary, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIL). SMIL was set up after Suzuki's re-entry into the Indian two-wheeler market after it severed ties with partner TVS in 2000-01. Suzuki was then the technology provider in the former joint venture company TVS Suzuki.

Suzuki, a Japanese automobiles manufacturing company, manufactures a complete range of motorcycles as well as small combustion-powered engine products. A global giant, it has its production units in more than 22 countries. However, in India, it is mostly known as a car manufacturer, thanks to its collaboration with Maruti. Together they are Maruti Suzuki, the largest automobile seller in India. Suzuki operates in three main segments including motorcycles, automobiles and others.

During the 1950s, 1960s and the better part of the 1970s, the company made motorcycles with two-stroke engines. Suzuki became the first Japanese bike manufacturer to win a motocross world championship when Joel Robert won the 1970 250cc title. Suzuki introduced its first motorcycles with a four-stroke engine, the GS400 and GS750, in 1976. Thereafter, Suzuki established a reputation as a manufacturer of well-engineered sport motorcycles.

Suzuki invented four-wheeled ATVs in 1983 and the high performance ATV in 1985 among many other firsts in the ATV segment. The launch of two of its international models in India reflects Suzuki's intent to cater to the Indian enthusiast. Their India line-up includes the new locally assembled Hayabusa and the entire range of Suzuki superbikes - V-Strom, GSX-S1000 and GSX-S1000F, Intruder M1800R as well as the ATVs - Ozark 250 and QuadSport Z400. Suzuki India's scooters and commuter motorcycles portfolio includes the Gixxer, Gixxer SF, Access, Hayate and Let’s.

Suzuki has recently introduced new bike models like the Burgmann 125 and the Intruder 150 in India which are based on its high powered offerings available in the global market. Suzuki plans to introduce a range of exciting bikes across all categories in 2019 starting with the Gixxer SF.

Very good bike for daily commute mileage is very good I am getting mileage of 55km/l engine is so refined and maintenance cost is so low there are some minor disadvantages first visor is so bad and destroy the look of the bike and the second pillion seat is not comfortable and the bike is very underrated as it comes at a low price point.

The riding experience is good and looking to get a great look and mileage and less maintenance charges. The look given is good. But the tires should be a little bigger in order to get the full advantage of the body. And more importantly, servicing and maintenance costs should get down and the performance of the bike should increase.

    Neither Good Nor Bad

Pros - 1) Handling is superb. 2) It gives good riding feel in good road conditions. 3) It has good mileage. Cons - 1) Pillion seat comfort is disgusting. The pillion slides forwards whenever the rider uses brakes. 2) The too-hard suspension gives bumpy rides on bad road conditions. 3) Parts availability and service network is not wide enough. Conclusion- You can go with this motorcycle if you don’t have a pillion . If the road conditions are good then it will surely give good riding feel with a good mileage. And please make sure the Suzuki dealership is near you because of its parts unavailability and weak service network. Thank you , hope my words are helpful 😊
