About SS 125

Yamaha in India is mostly known for its R15, FZ-16, Ray scooter and high performance R1 but the company also sells motorcycles that necessarily need to go very fast. The Yamaha SS125 is one of them. This 125cc sporty look bike has been inspired from the Gladiator that has been discontinued.

The SS125 overall design language clearly shows it has been designed for consumers who are conscious about the way their bike looks. It has sleek body and has many curves across the bike with bright decals doing a good job.

The SS125 is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 10.8bhp at 7500rpm and 10.4Nm at 6500 rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox and the power is transmitted to its rear wheel via chain drive. For stopping power, the company has fitted the SS125 with disc brake at the front and drum at the rear. It can carry 13.6 litres of fuel in one go and weighs 125 kg. The Yamaha SS125 is available in two colour options – Blue and Black, Black and Red.
