About FZ S [2012-2016]

Yamaha FZ-S has been launched keeping India’s young generation in mind. The FZ-S’ design elements are very stylish and dynamic and Yamaha markets it as ‘Lord of the Street’s. It looks almost same like the FZ16 but certain features like the new graphics, colours and chiseled windshield along with more aggressive headlights to differentiate it from its twin.

The FZ-S is powered by a 153cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that generates 14PS at 75000rpm and 13.6Nm of torque at 6000rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with 1 down and 4 up shift pattern. The FZ-S sports a telescopic suspension at the front and monocross suspension at the front that provides 120mm of travel making a decent motorcycle for pot hole affected roads.

The motorcycle is equipped with disc brake at the front and drum at the rear. The FZ-S gets 17-inch wheels with 100/80 and 140/60 radial tyres at the front and rear respectively. The midship muffler looks very stylish that goes along the overall design of the motorcycle. It has a kerb weight of 135kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres. The FZ-S is available in India in three colours – Pouncing Black, Preying Red and Hawk-Eye Gold. So if you are looking for a 150cc motorcycle with decent amount of power and torque and at the same time want to make an impression, the FZ-S is the one to go for.
