Yamaha has updated the R15 V4’s colour palatte with the launch of the all-new Dark Knight edition paint scheme. The option is priced at Rs 1,81,900 (ex-showroom), making it more affordable than the Racing Blue and Intensity White paint options but more expensive than the Red paint scheme.
Now, like all the other Dark Knight edition paint schemes that Yamaha presented on its other models like the FZ as well as the R15 V3, the colour option sports matte black base paint with golden highlights. These feature on the KTM RC200-rival’s front and side panels as well as the golden wheels.
However, other than this, the R15 Dark Knight edition stays the same. It continues to come with a 155cc, single-cylinder engine that churns out 18.1bhp and 14.2Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox. That said, the other features like the dual-channel ABS, and LED lighting for the headlamp and tail lamp are retained as well.
The Yamaha R15 V4 goes up against several competitors in India like the KTM RC 125 and RC200, the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, and the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
