About VFR1200F

The VFR 1200F is the only sport touring motorcycle from Honda for the Indian market and is the most expensive as well. It gets a very aerodynamic exterior design which features the dual layered fairing to pull heat away from the rider.

The Honda VFR 1200F is powered by a 1,237cc liquid-cooled V-4 engine that produces 170bhp at 10,000rpm and a peak torque of 129Nm at 8,750rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox and also gets the option of dual-clutch automatic transmission that allows push-button six-speed paddle shifting. It has two riding modes, D for regular riding and S for sports mode.  The bike also features the throttle-by-wire system and combined braking system (CABS) is standard on this bike.

The VF1200F gets an advanced instrument cluster that displays the real time fuel consumption along with distance to empty indicator other than regular digital equipment’s. The Honda VFR1200F is available in only red colour and is priced at Rs 1,762,938 (ex-showroom Delhi).

    Reports suggest that Honda is all set to jump on the bandwagon of two-wheeler manufacturers who are planning to introduce forced induction for their engines. If the rumours are true, then Honda will be the third Japanese manufacturer in recent times to experiment with turbocharging/supercharging on their motorcycles. While Kawasaki and Suzuki have already made their intentions public, Honda still is tight-lipped about their plans.
