About Discover 125 ST

At first glance, the Discover 125ST seems to be just another bike among the crowd of commuter bikes. But it isn’t. The Discover 125ST, or Sports Tourer as Bajaj calls it, is the company's attempt at introducing a bit of fun to the boring commuter segment. The Discover 125ST is based on an enhanced chassis of the Discover 125 with adjustments to accommodate the segment-first monoshock. Styling has also been refreshed and the bike looks more imposing and muscular, though the 125ST is actually smaller in dimensions than the Discover 125. The Discover 125ST also comes with alloy wheels and disc brake at the front as standard.

The engine is also the same single cylinder air-cooled 125cc unit, but has been altered to accommodate four valves, much like the Pulsar 135LS. Mated to a five-speed gearbox, this engine returns a marginally better performance with 13bhp and 10.8Nm of torque. The Discover 125ST has a new seat which is more comfortable and sits lower than the regular Discover. The bike is very nimble and works well while tackling city traffic. The improved handling makes the bike a breeze to use in an urban environment.

The Discover 125ST is available in four colour schemes- Midnight Black and Red, Midnight Black and Blue, Flame Red and Brilliant Blue. The bike is priced at Rs 57,073 (ex-showroom Delhi) and rivals other commuter bikes like Honda CB Shine, Hero Glamour, Suzuki SlingShot Plus, TVS Phoenix and Yamaha SS 125.
