About Avenger Cruise 220

Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 is a cruiser bike available at a starting price of Rs. 1,40,823 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 2 colours. The Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 is powered by 220cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 18.76 bhp and a torque of 17.55 Nm. With front disc and rear drum brakes, Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Avenger Cruise 220 bike weighs 163 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13 liters.

Bajaj Auto has updated its flagship cruiser motorcycle, the Avenger Cruise 220 to comply with the newest emission norms. The BS6 upgrade on the Avenger Cruise 220 is limited to mechanical upgrades.

The styling cues, on the other hand, remain unaltered, and the Avenger Cruise 220 BS6 continues to feature a typical cruiser motorcycle design with low-slung saddle, rear-swept handlebar, a windscreen at the front and a long wheelbase. The 3D logo, chrome treatment to various parts and wire-spoke wheels add a premium touch to the overall package.

Similar to the styling, the hardware on the BS6 model remains similar to the BS4 motorcycle. Thus, shock absorption duties are handled by telescopic forks with double anti-friction bush at the front and five-step adjustable twin springs at the back. Anchoring power comes from a 280mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. The safety net on the motorcycle includes single-channel ABS.

Mechanical upgrades bring a fuel-injection system to the 220cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled, twin-spark, SOHC motor that now produces 18.7bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 17.5Nm of peak torque at 7,000rpm. The engine is linked to a five-speed gearbox.

The closest rival to the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220 is the Suzuki Intruder, which retails at Rs 1,20,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Avenger Cruise 220 BS6 packs better performance numbers while retailing at a relatively lower price tag than the 155cc Suzuki cruiser motorcycle.
