About Xtreme 2014

In a bid to revive its popular 150cc commuter offering – the Xtreme, Hero MotoCorp launched the refreshed 2014 model earlier this year. The motorcycle features many cosmetic upgrades like the new headlight with an updated visor, new tail lights with LED light guide, part digital cluster with side stand indicator and new graphics.

The overall design gives the impression of a sportier motorcycle compared to the previous Xtreme. Mechanically, the new Xtreme continues to be powered by the same 149cc single-cylinder engine producing 14.4bhp at 8500rpm and 12.8Nm of torque torque at 6500rpm. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. Stopping power comes from a single 240mm disc brake at the front and an optional 220mm disc brake at the rear. The standard variant gets a 130 mm drum brake setup at the rear.

The 2014 Xtreme is available in five colours – black, red, silver, black-red and orange. The motorcycle competes in the highly competitive 150cc commuter segment which includes Bajaj Pulsar 150, Suzuki GS150R and the Honda CB Trigger.
