After disrupting the Indian app-based cab industry, the company has decided to do the same in the electric two-wheeler space. The company acquired Amsterdam-based EV company Etergo so that it could foray into the Indian market.
The company is also in the process of setting up a factory in Tamil Nadu which it claims to be the biggest in the world. This facility will manufacture its first electric scooter which is likely to be called the Series S. This EV is also being planned to be exported to various other markets including some developed markets. Ola is planning to set up multiple charging points across the country, but its main focus will be to set up home charging points.
