About Super Splendor
The Super Splendor is a more premium, larger displacement version of the Splendor. Hero MotoCorp has powered it with a 125cc engine instead of the conventional 100cc and 110cc motors seen in its younger siblings. The Splendor has been selling steadily for Hero for about two decades now and as a brand, it has been important for the company. It is known for its durability, reliability and fuel efficiency.
Besides the larger displacement engine, the Super Splendor also gets slightly fancier styling over its smaller siblings. Interestingly, while updating it for BS6 compliance, Hero also gave it a subtle cosmetic makeover. Besides restyling the headlamp, bikini fairing, fuel tank, under seat and tail panels, the motorcycle also received new set of decals.
At the time of BS6 transition, the commuter also received changes to its dimensions and cycle parts for more comfort and better stability and handling. The Super Splendor is 2,042mm long, 740mm wide and 1,102mm tall. The wheelbase measures 1,273mm with an impressive ground clearance of 180mm. The bike has a fuel tank that can hold 12 litres of petrol. The kerb weight of the bike is 122kg.
Replacing the previous double cradle frame is a new diamond chassis for improved maneuverability. Riding on 18-inch wheels, the Super Splendor is suspended by telescopic forks and dual shock absorbers while braking is handled by drum brakes at both ends with front disc available as an option.
The Super Splendor is powered by a 125cc, fuel-injected engine that produces 10.73bhp of power at 7,500rpm and 10.6Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. This engine was mated to a four-speed gearbox until Hero updated the bike for BS6 norms when a five-speed gearbox was introduced.
The Super Splendor is available in India in two variants including drum brakes and front disc which boast of electric start as standard. The Super Splendor competes with the Bajaj Discover 125 and the Honda CB Shine.

I bought it in Mangalore. Traveled all over Karnataka on this bike for the last few years. It was a comfortable ride during the journey. The looks and aesthetics are still very much visible. It was maintained very comfortably. I think the cost of servicing's by the company is too much and wrong. I think, local mechanic is better than authorized service man. The power is fine for city commute but vibrates at high rpms on highways. Overall an above average score.

It's better to follow up the regular maintenance. Change the engine oil, every 6k ride. Keep an average speed of 45-55 for better mileage..

It's very worst category bike of hero bs6. Not success in market. Cylinder pump was changed within 6 month of purchased date. And product was not easily available in service center. And clutch plate has changed 10 times within 3 years of bike purchased. Still bike has run 10000 km only. Please don't purchased it.

Gem commuter the tales of super splendor.

1. Very satisfied, took just a couple of hours for all the paperwork.2. Very good commuter, easy to handle best for city traffic. Even took it on long rides(shillong, manas national park).3. Evergreen design and the purple colour is so eye-catching, and good performance no engine problem after riding it for 115000km for almost 7 years 3month.4. Servicing is done every 2000km and it costs around 500 inr. Haven't changed any parts to date except the battery change last year(2022).5. Pros: best commuter in its segment, good mileage of 60+, very low maintenance cost, good body parts, and engine.Cons: vibration past 65km/hr.

Change oil every 2000km. From my experience, if there is a problem with your machine deal with it quickly no jugaad. Jugaad will cost less initially but will hurt in the long run.

Best for middle class families

This is an excellent bike with decent mileage and requires little maintenance. I ride a hero super splendor bike, which is quite durable. My bike is known as the middleman folks' bike because I can go 95 kmph on it. Also a low-maintenance motorcycle. It utilises all roads and is a very comfortable bike. I advise using a digital speedometer. I'm grateful. Good to use while travelling on highways, but in the city, the rider needs to have experience.

Dont buy super splender.

Mileage problem getting 40km/ ltrVery noisy sound. Irritating me.The agency person gave me a broken body part bike I complained 12 times he replies part was not available. To date, the problem had not been resolved.Gear shifting problem occurs many time color is not ok while washing color damage.My bike's resale value is very less. After 1 year buy.Half the price of the current price.Very horrible.
