Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 production-ready model finally spotted!

- Reveals majority of design cues

- Powered by a 450cc liquid-cooled motor

- India launch soon

Royal Enfield’s upcoming ADV, the Himalayan 450, has been spotted once again, but this time without the camouflage. Here are some of the latest spy shots from the bike’s testing that was conducted overseas.

The new images hint that the Himalayan 450 looks ready for production and also reveal most of the new bike’s design cues. It shows a round LED headlight topped with a transparent visor, a large fuel tank protruding outwards at the front, as well as a split seat. In one of our previous stories, we covered the test bike being equipped with a few accessories. It had a set of hard case panniers, a top box, and a headlight grill too. While the latest test mule also has a top box, it’s likely for the testing equipment as we can see wires all around the bike.

Royal Enfield will power the new Himalayan with a 450cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. It’ll produce 40bhp and 45Nm and will be mated to a six-speed gearbox. Further, the bike will come with a single pod instrument console, housing various readouts like a tachometer, speedometer, gear position indicator, trip meter, fuel level readout, and more. This will be a fully digital setup as seen in our previous story

Owing to its ADV nature, the Himalayan 450 will ride on long-travel USD front forks and a monoshock, while the braking hardware will include a front and rear disc with ABS. Royal Enfield will equip it with spoke wheels wrapped in block pattern tyres.

While Royal Enfield is yet to make an announcement, we expect the Himalayan 450 to debut very soon and demand an asking price of around Rs. 2.70 lakh (ex-showroom). Bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G 310 GS, and Yezdi Adventure will be its rivals.
