BMW R 1250 GS Ultimate Edition with additional equipment unveiled

BMW Motorrad has announced the R 1250 GS Ultimate Edition for select European markets. This edition of the company’s flagship adventure tourer motorcycle, which will be available in a Triple Black colourway, comes equipped with several packs as standard and it is listed on the company's Italian and British websites. Notably, this version of the motorcycle will be limited to 2,100 units worldwide.

The list of packages available for the R 1250 GS Ultimate Edition includes the Option 719 accessories that bring machined billet aluminium parts to enhance the aesthetics of the motorcycle. Then, the Dynamic package further improves the performance of the motorcycle with the addition of the semi-active suspension setup, Pro riding modes, and a shift assist system.

The Touring and Comfort packages, as the name suggests, improve the touring capabilities of this motorcycle while adding additional comfort to the rider. The Touring pack comprises a cruise control system, navigation tech, hand guards, and pannier mounts, while the Comfort package brings keyless operations and heated grips to the R 1250 GS. Apart from the specific packages, BMW has also included a tinted windshield, black crash bars, black cross-spoked wheels, LED auxiliary lighting, a bidirectional quick-shifter, and a titanium Akrapovic exhaust system to this motorcycle.

To top it off, this motorcycle will come with the golden ‘Ultimate Edition’ badge. Meanwhile, the design will remain unaltered and this special edition model looks similar to the standard variant. The mechanical specifications, too, are identical to the standard R 1250 GS.

The India launch details of the BMW R 1250 GS Ultimate Edition are not available yet. In other updates, BMW Motorrad is readying the successor to its current flagship adventure-tourer motorcycle and we expect to see the new model towards the end of this year, most likely at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.
