Ather Energy has revised the prices of its electric scooters in India post the announcement of new FAME-II rules. As reported earlier, the FAME-II subsidy is now revised to Rs. 10,000 per kWh as against the Rs. 15,000 previously, with a maximum cap of 15 per cent of the ex-factory price. This new amendment has come into effect from 1 June, 2023.
Post revision, the Ather 450X and 450X Pro Pack are now available at Rs. 1,45,000 and Rs. 1,65,000 (ex-showroom Bangalore), respectively. Check out the latest ex-showroom prices (inclusive of FAME-II and State Subsidy) below:
The company said in its press statement that the FAME-II revision has resulted in a subsidy reduction of approximately Rs. 32,000. However, Ather Energy will absorb a part of this price increase, and the updated ex-showroom prices are marginally higher than March 2023 levels. Further, the company has also announced the launch of the 450S, which will be sold as the entry-level model in the Indian market. This variant has been priced at Rs. 1,29,999 (including FAME-II benefits but exclusive of state subsidy).
While the bookings for the new 450S will start from July onwards, interested buyers can register their interest in this electric scooter on the company’s website.
