About Tuono Factory

Aprilia Tuono Factory is a sports bike available at a starting price of Rs. 20,66,000 in India. It is available in only 1 variant and 1 colour. The Aprilia Tuono Factory is powered by 1077cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 172.58 bhp and a torque of 122 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Aprilia Tuono Factory comes up with anti-locking braking system. This Tuono Factory bike weighs 209 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 18.5 liters.

Aprilia has updated its Indian portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant Tuono Factory to rival the likes of Ducati Streetfighter V4, BMW S 1000 R, and the Kawasaki Z H2.

The latest iteration of the Italian roadster motorcycle uses a BS6-compliant 1,077cc, V4-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 172.5bhp of power at 11,350rpm and 122Nm of peak torque at 11,000rpm. The motorcycle boasts a fuel tank capacity of 18.5-litre and tips the weighing scale at 209kg.

The equipment on the new Aprilia Tuono Factory include the Smart EC 2.0 electronically managed Ohlins NIX front fork and the Smart EC 2.0 electronically managed Ohlins rear mono-shock. The braking tasks are handled by dual 330mm floating stainless steel discs with Brembo M50 monobloc radial callipers at the front and a single 220 mm diameter disc with Brembo floating calliper at the back.

The electronic rider aids include Bosch 9.1 MP ABS with cornering function, switchable rear wheel lift-up mitigation, engine maps (AEM), engine brake control (AEB), traction control (ATC), wheelie control (AWC), launch control (ALC), cruise control (ACC), speed limiter (APT), and six riding modes (three road, three track).

The revised styling brings sleek twin-pod headlights at the front, a muscular fuel tank, a windscreen, semi-fairing, step-up seat, and a side-slung exhaust. The feature list includes LED headlights, LED taillight, and a colour TFT display.

Aprilia Tuono Factory Expert Opinion

  • Good Things

    • Gets an extremely powerful V4 engine
    • Has top-spec features
    • Offers great track riding abilities
  • Could be Better

    • Very expensive
    • Limited sales, service reach
    • Expensive spare part costs

BikeWale's Take

The Aprilia Tuono Factory is a manical street naked motorcycle. Its character is courtesy to the 1100cc, V4 engine. Aprilia has also loaded the Tuono V4 with a load of electronic aids to tame all of the power. Moreover, the bike also gets top-spec braking and suspension hardware that make it a capable track bike too. However, it is expensive and the service network isn't great either.
