About Zeal

The Ampere Zeal is the company’s flagship e-scooter offering. It comes with several additional features that add to the convenience of owning the electric scooter. In term of design, the Zeal keeps to its compact dimensions like other Ampere models. It has an arrow-head shaped headlamp with LED DRLs mounted flush with the front apron and handlebar-mounted turn indicators.

In terms of features, the Zeal comes with an anti-theft alarm, keyless ignition, two riding modes, digital display, front glove box with a hook for carry-bags, micro-controller based charger for better battery protection and a regenerative braking controller. For cycle parts, the Zeal is suspended by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the back. Braking is done by 130mm drum brakes at both ends equipped with combined braking system.

The Zeal runs a 12kW brushless DC motor that draws power from a 60V/30Ah lithium-ion battery. The battery is detachable which adds to the convenience of charging it at home or office. Charging time taken is around 5.5 hours for a full charge which can return a claimed range of around 75km. Top speed of the e-scooter stands a rated 55kmph. Weighing at 78kg (kerb), the Zeal comes with a payload capacity of 130kg.

Ampere offers the Zeal in five glossy colour options which include blue, silver, red, white and yellow. The company offers a two year warranty period on the e-scooter.

The Ampere Zeal is a decent e-scooter for someone who want to enter the world of green transportation and at the same time don’t want to spend a lot. It has a decent riding range of 75kms, and it takes about 6 hours for the battery to charge fully. Unfortunately, this e-scooter isn’t available across the country.
