About Passion Xtec

Hero Passion Xtec is a mileage bike available at a starting price of Rs. 78,649 in India. It is available in 2 variants and 3 colours with top variant price starting from Rs. 82,424. The Hero Passion Xtec is powered by 113.2cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 9 bhp and a torque of 9.79 Nm. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Passion Xtec comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. This Passion Xtec bike weighs 117 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 10 liters.

Hero MotoCorp has extended its Xtec line-up with the launch of the new Passion XTEC. The XTEC badge brings additional features to the commuter motorcycle. These include a new LED headlight and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity that gives access to SMS and call alerts. However, it misses out on the turn-by-turn navigation function. The motorcycle also gets a side-stand engine cut-off sensor as well as service reminders.

Although the Passion XTEC gets a revised design for the headlight, the styling cues remain similar to the standard model. Other design elements include a tinted flyscreen, body-coloured headlight cowl, fuel tank shrouds, single-piece saddle, body-coloured pillion grabrail, and a side-slung exhaust. The motorcycle retains the 110cc, single-cylinder engine from the standard model. Linked to a four-speed gearbox, the motor develops 9bhp and 9.79Nm. Further, it gets the company’s i3S technology for better fuel economy.

The hardware comprises conventional telescopic forks and dual rear shocks to handle the suspension tasks. The braking setup on the base model includes drum units on both ends. The company also offers a front disc brake version of the motorcycle. All variants get combined braking system.

The Hero Passion XTEC rivals the likes of Honda Livo in the Indian market.
